Welcome! New Aspirants. Happy New Year to you all. I am a
2012 year pass out and pursuing PG-DAC from CDAC Bangalore.
Bangalore seems me to be a very fascinating place. I have
been here for nearly 5 months now and just have fallen in love with the breeze
here.
CDAC is a government organization which provides training to
IT individuals as per Industry Standards. I have seen the change in myself. I thought
during college life that I know much and is good in my field as a Fresher but
it all seems it was my perception, now. Here, I got to learn aspects of IT
industry that a fresher cannot imagine by himself. The approach to learn was
such that Coding now seems to be the easiest part in industry.
For those who are about to join, I can only confirm till now,
Knowledge is limitless, see how much you can catch. Bangalore is an excellent
centre for learning. My placements have not been started yet (may start around 10th
Feb 2013).

Worried
about PG near CDAC, Bangalore KP? Main Hoon Na.
There are too many PGs/rooms, to study/live peacefully.
Location: Sadanand Nagar
Way: Reach Byapannahalli Metro Station. Left to it is CDAC
and right side of metro is Sadanand Nagar. Down from metro, you will see a
bridge, cross and take right turn towards a broad road. Here, after a little
effort, you can see streets with name 1st Main, 2nd Main… resp.
PGs (Closest):2nd Main, 71/72. Rs.5500/- p.m. (might be shut down now) .
Straight on the same road, (438) Rs. 4000/- p.m. with food .
2nd Main , 155. 2500/- without food .
Beware Of
Nagrajan PG! it is the last thing you should look for.
Note: Go to 5th main, Bakery Shop. You can ask there about PGs nearby.
OTHERS: Near big bazaar, on the same road as CDAC. Pi-layout.

Metro Station. Good Pgs available there also.

care by CDAC. For example, this year, they gave us treat in NAVRATRI. We had a
movie show for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, with snacks. We played
Cricket Tournament recently, which was last to say good bye guys!!!

@Pankul: DAC is better than any of the other courses, & Bangalore is second best in academics after Pune CDAC(Main) not authorized ones. If u get DAC Bangalore, in CDAC Knowledge Park, Nothing better than this. Be relaxed about Placements, Because this is what will Stop you from Studying well. Excellent Placement. Wimc is not a great choice but can be handful as well.

So, its a hard decision, if you have no option, you can go for it. But
need to make most of the chance you get. I have not been through my
placements , so i am not 100% sure.
I Got C-DAC Banglore for DAC.My basics in Programming are not too strong..,does this effect me or i can learn at C-DAC from begining.I mean does they teach from begining or just start with advanced topics .Does we need our own laptops.I mean they may be giving assignments etc for that purpose.I dont have Laptop... !!if necessary i will try to buy.Can you tell about timings,sundays and labs will be open 24 hours or not.Sorry that i am asking for so many questions....but hope you will reply bcz u are my senior(if i join CDAC banglore).Thanks in advance.

I know about DAC course. Teachers will teach you from the very basic. You will soon realize when C module will start. I think laptop is required because lots of study material is there to read
and it cause problem. lab facility is till 8:00 PM all days. You will not touch any book, everything is soft copies. So try to manage.
Timing is 9:30 AM to 6:0 PM except OS Module(different), included of Lab timings(every day-Half time).
And its not about senior or junior, man! Just For Sake of Providing Information.
IS there Dress code at CDAC banglore????Tie ..etc

ReplyDeleteThere is no Dress code @K.P. Do not have Very high expectations, because they fail. Very few holidays are there. No fixed schedule like all sundays classes, classes may be on National Holiday as well Like today 26th Jan, Diwali, etc. went to CDAC.
About LOAN, i have not taken it or any of my known friend. But CDAC do not provide Loan by itself. They will give you Loan Letter when you request them through phone after allotment. Take the letter to the bank and request to them.

Yes ,it is good.It is 3rd best in pune and have good positive reviews.Best Java faculty.
DeleteIts good bro, Not the best but average one, but if you work hard, you can get placement in DAC because approx. 70% placement is there, so you need to be in that stats.

When you will come here, you will see that cdac is at such a place that no living area is at walkable distance but Sadanand Nagar and Indira Nagar are preferable one. Do not go to 23 no. 4th main(Nagrajan PG) or you will suffer.

ReplyDeleteFor Dac, there are 8 modules or so, lab test is after every module gets over(around 15 days). Theory test conducted accordingly by CDAC centralised.

What man...!!!Above 60 is enough for most of the companies to get opputunities and u have that....so dont worry.Many dont have above 60 in 10th or 12th like me i have 58% in 12th so i should ask weather i will be elgible or not...!!

ReplyDelete315,316,317 from Majestic Bus station which will leave you to byapannahalli metro station directly to CDAC. Majestic bus stop is just in front of City railway station. Cross the road, after getting out of railway station. You will find buses.

ReplyDeleteAverage pkg till now is 3.5 lac, highest 31,000 p.m. FOR DAC.
For DESD, companies like Schnieder(3.5 lac), Aptina(6.7 lac), LGSoft(4.7 lac) and Happiest Minds(3.2).

First prepare to get a good rank, competition is very high as the market condition is getting worse. Bangalore Dac course ensures placement for those who work hard and are not overconfident.
DeleteBut competition is high in Pune compare to 150 max in Bangalore.
However, Companies hiring in Pune are better than that in Bangalore.I do not have any idea about Pune placements but confirmed about Bangalore.
